Sunday Night Bliss

My Sunday night routine used to consist of a couple of glasses of wine and trashy TV, wishing that the weekend could be extended by a few hours (like, 24!) so that I didn't have to go to work in the morning. Over the summer, I decided that as Monday was inevitable, I should probably do something more productive with my Sunday evenings, and Beauty Night was born!

I've been using Clarins products for almost three years, since I visited a counter for some pre-wedding skin care advice. I can honestly say I've never looked back. My usual skin care ritual consists of cleansers, toners and moisturisers from the HydraQuench range, but for a Sunday treat, the Relax Bath Concentrate and Pink Clay Mask get an outing.

The Relax Bath and Shower Concentrate helps you to do exactly that! It's fragrance reminds me of essential oils you find at the spa; my bathroom feels so much more expensive after a long soak! The soothing aroma of basil, camomile, linden and valerian (amongst others) react with the water and heat to produce the softest foam and the calmest atmosphere that makes it perfect before bedtime.

The Pink Clay Mask is probably the greatest item I own. It promises to eliminate shine and excess oil, leaving your skin clear, soft and matte. It certainly lives up to it's promise. The combination of pink clay and alpine willow herb tightens and freshens your skin and the results can still be seen a good 24 hours later. I tend to leave it on a little longer than the recommended 5 minutes, leaving it to do its magic as I soak in the bath.

After all this luxury, Monday morning doesn't seem so bad! What's your Sunday evening ritual?
